Brie and TJ’s June wedding at the Fairyhouse Hall in Lexington Kentucky was featured in Bridal Bliss Magazine.
It was a “Heaven in Kentucky” themed wedding with a stunning color palette of Champagne through Wine. And if you’re wondering about the story behind the four leaved clover here is why it is so meaningful (told by the beautiful Ballerina Bride Brie):
We had worked together the entire day of at Corto Lima. Chef Jonathan Lundy called us in to talk about the future. Little did Brie know, TJ walked into the restaurant that morning telling Jonathan, I am going to do it today! Naturally, Brie thought they were strategically planning the future.
Later that night, Brie was finishing designing a program on their patio while TJ was pacing in the grass. As a horticulturist by background, Brie figured he was playing in the yard and working on the lawn. After an hour of pacing he went inside and she followed him. They chatted for a little bit longer about the day and TJ went back outside and came back in just a minute after. “Look,” TJ said, “I found you a four leaf clover. It was the closest clover to the house after I stood out there and looked for an hour!” Being that both TJ and Brie are Irish, clovers are important to their heritage and treasured.
Their best friends had just gotten engaged a couple weeks prior and at that same time TJ asked Brie if she wanted to go ring shopping. Just one week before Brie picked out what would become her engagement ring. Brie had no idea the ring was ready or even in their home. After talking about other events they were working on and interest in some venues in and around Lexington but Brie was too superstitious to call before being officially engaged. So, TJ said “Well, would this make it better?” And from his pocket appeared her engagement ring and before he could even get the words out Brie was smothering him with hugs and tears saying yes and hugging him. He had to say, “wait, I haven’t asked you yet. Brie Lowry, will you marry me?” Later TJ told Brie he would not propose until he found that clover because he needed that last little boost of confidence.
